"Lord, have mercy,
Lord, have mercy,
You who take away the sins of the world;
Grant them peace,
Grant them peace.
Lamb of God, Lamb of God,
Lamb of God, Lamb of God,
You who take away the sins of the world;
Grant them peace,
Grant them peace.
Peace everlasting, everlasting."
I had relitives in WWI, but I'm not entirely sure where they were, etc.
Has to be the worst battle of all time - and people do not give them their dues.
Lots of brave boys that died for each other and did not get a VC.
Hope the chiefs that sent them over could live with those stupid decisions!
Hope he and his regiment did OK and that he had a good life after.
And he was probably around to remember his friends that did not make it back to us!
All of those guys are heroes
These brave men shall never be forgotten.
I think the trenches were possibly either more horrific than the D-Day Invasion or just the same. Every soul there should not be forgotten..
please respect this instead of being stating your facts. All armies did their part
