Browns policy of holding down wages left people with no slack. Thus spending has collapsed.

If we had an English Parliament I may agree. He has created a surveillance society because he fears everyone.. Hundreds of new laws to restrict everyone liberties. this is not someone comfortable with "his people".
He promised an end to boom and bust
He promised tough on crime tough on the causes of crime
He promised fairer society
he promised he was listening to hard working families.
Talk is cheap Mr Brown. People who break promises cannot be trusted

You are right about the shift in economic wealth. We are going backwards. A lot of our wealth seems to have evaporated. Maybe it never existed in the first place...
