I was diagnosed with Type 1 when I was 9 yrs old -in 1975! My poor mom had so many worries, and yet none of the technology we have today. I have to say we went through some very tough times, but I am now 42 years old, on the pump, surprisingly healthy, married and very happy. And my wonderful mom and I just went to France for 3 weeks. Where she didn't have to worry for one moment. We can do it, but not without you getting us there. Thanks DM Type 1 Moms!!!!!!!

Outstanding. So positive and upbeat yet sends a strong message to stay on top and in control of your illness. I am a nurse and if I were teaching newly diagnosed kids, I would use this video.

Oh wow this is great!! I wish my mom was internet savvy because she would so relate to this! I got diabetes when I was 5 and put that poor woman through some stuff!!! Genious!!!
