Dancing with the Huli Wigmen

Video Description:
This was a surprisingly not-so-difficult clip to get. I arrived in Tari, Papua New Guinea with no plans or arrangements and no idea what I was doing.
I met Patrick on the runway and told him I hoped to find the Huli Wigmen. He said "no problem" and we hopped in a truck.
I visited some Huli villages and wandered around the area all morning. Patrick took me to the Wigmen's village and introduced me. It took them an hour or so to get dressed up, and then we had to sit around waiting for the rain to stop.
It stopped, then this happened, then I paid them for their time, and that was that.

no dude, i was just curious. doesn't this tribe have a history of cannibalism up to the mid part of the 20th century? there is a tribe in new guinea who were cannibals.

If they had known he was making fun they would have speared him and eaten his liver then they would ahve fed his feet and leftovers to their children. I would have gone for the backstrap on em. Tenderest meat ever on an animal. He deserves a good scewering and slow roasting alive for making fun of the tribes ritual dance. Any takers for the liver?

Fantastic! Very nice of the Huli guys to partake in your video.
Their dances and bouncing backside grass "half-skirts" remind me of the Papua New Guinean birds of paradise mating and territory dances (for example, as seen on YouTube in the "Planet Earth" documentary clips).
