Ok, I know you posted this during the end of 2007 and talked about the Silent Hill connection but seriously, the first 45 seconds of this is almost exactly like the start of Silent Hill Homecoming. I mean dead on just like it.

I'd say more like out right thievery. I know the original team that made the game was inspired by many different things, this movie included, but the team on Silent Hill Homecoming just plain lifted this almost in its entirety.

Joel Peter Witkin's photos inspired the shaking headed guy with his legs missing. Then the creators of Jacobes ladder added the shaking head effect via stop motion photographer and out of that came inspiration for some silent hill ideas and monsters over in Japan.Anyway Silent Hill did not just come out of Jacobes ladder,it came out from inspiration of all kinds of movies.Though without Jacobes Ladder we probably wouldn't have monsters shaking there heads around in Silent Hill.

Oh, I agree. I saw Silent Hill (the movie) and was amazed by it.
A while after viewing this clip, it inspired me to search out the whole movie. I rented it from a store and, it was great.

Jacob's Ladder is responsible for way more than just the shaking heads in Silent Hill,
JAYTPoopCorp, without Jacob's Ladder, SH wouldn't have that personal purgatory aspect to it, which is the scariest part of those games.

The shaking head demon is a reference to the black guy from begining of the movie. He fell on the ground and his head started to shake. This is also about drug abuse, I think.
